TV broadcast research

I've chosen Southern Utah's own KCSG channel 8 to research. One of the ways I gathered my research was to interview one of their employs, named Aaron Crane. KCSG reaches around 700,000 homes throughout the rocky mountain region with a designated market area of 34 nationally and is a affiliate of H&I TV and AMGTV. The channel was originally owned by Steven Wade, but has recently changed owners to Steve Harmsen who's son mark works as it general manager. When asked on how KCSG approaches broadcast news Crane said, " ... we work together with St George News who gathers the stories. Then we compel them into broadcast format. Such as re-write the scripts for broadcast and use their B-Roll either if its still images or actual footage. Edit them to have motion and cut it to a certain length. Usually around 2 mins."
